PGY1 Residents

Kaili Du, MD

Hometown: Dong Yang, China

Medical School: Zhejiang University School of Medicine

After completing her undergraduate degree in Psychology and medical degree in China, Dr. Du began her internal medicine residency there. She received further internal medicine training in Singapore before moving to the United States. Dr. Du strives to integrate the great practices in different parts of the world and apply them to her practice.

Sristee Niraula, MBBS

Hometown: Biratnagar, Nepal

Medical School: Nobel Medical College and Teaching Hospital

Moving from the foothills of the Himalaya’s, Dr. Sristee Niraula completed her medical school at Nobel Medical College and Teaching Hospital in Biratnegar, Nepal. She is here in the United States to practice evidence based medicine and provide high quality care to all her patients.

PGY1 Residents – Weill Cornell Track

Priyesh Thakurathi, MBBS (NYP)

Hometown: Kathmandu, Nepal

Medical School: B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences

Priyesh Thakurathi, comes from the mountainous country of Nepal, where he went to medical school at B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences. He is interested in studying the quality of care in resource limited areas and providing care to such population in par with the best centers. Currently, Priyesh is going to be spending the first year of his residency training at New-York Presbyterian Weill Cornell as the first resident in our Cayuga-Cornell specialty track.
